The first of a kind for the State of Utah Cycling Community, three hill climbs with different types of climbs.
Starting in Late April with the climb that is probably ridden most in the state, Emigration Canyon will be the kick of event. With new roads and a bike lane to the top this will test each riders early season fitness.
Late June will see the next race with a road that will see a long climb with a short but fast decent in the middle, Old Snowbasin Road. This event we see riders who can also handle their bikes on two short hard packed sections.
The finial climb will feature the Back Side of Suncrest, this climb is fast but steep as riders will test there sustain power output at the end of the season.
These three events that will make up the first Utah State Hill Climb Series will be score based on time for each event with the overall being determine on points.
The Emigration and Suncrest will be run in a Time Trial format with each rider starting at 30 sec intervals, Old Snowbasin will be a mass start race broken into different start waves.
As a first year event this will be limited to the first 250 rider’s total for each event.
